[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I visited the reserve again today and whilst sitting on the side of the small pond watching the insects flying round in the sun, the baby Newts and Flatworms, this female Dragonfly chose a nearby stone to land on, dip her tail end into the water and lay some eggs. I managed to sneak near enough to take a photo or two before she flew off round the pond.
Camera setting:- ISO 400, Pattern metering, 180mm focal length, Auto exposure and White Balance, hand held.

Hi Peter,
Are you sure the male was the emperor lookalike?
This is no doubt a Brown Hawker with the bronze wings.
Sharp with great detail.
