| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Taken at a Butterfly House. This is our first attempt at photographing butterflies.Hope we have got the ID right.
Caligo eurilochus, also named Owl Butterfly, is a tropical butterfly. The antennae on the head of the butterfly are not only feelers, they are also excellent olfactory sensors. The male Emperor Moth can smell the scent of a female many kilometres away |

Hello Anita,
I'm glad you've had a go at butterflies and this Owl butterfly is fine, very sharp and I like the point of view but the feeding plate is less attractive. I think we must always try and portray insects and animals in as natural an environment as possible. Keep it up though!
Best wishes, Ulla
Félicitations Anita
Cette composition est parfaite. Bravo pour la netteté et les détails. Superbe exposition qui fait bien ressortir les belles couleurs et excellente profondeur de champ.
Merci et au revoir...JP
