Ess na Larach

This would probably be my favorite waterfall in Northern Ireland and as far as I know the biggest. It is called I believe "Ess na Larach"
The Nine Glens of Antrim radiate outwards towards the Irish coast from the mountainous heartland of the county, cut through the black basalt by rivers and further gouged by ancient glaciers.
This waterfall is the most dramatic. A bridge, placed at its base, allows for a breathtaking view of the fall from the bottom of the gorge. |

I love this photo, but I wonder if the frame is too big? I noticed the frame before I noticed what was in it. I love the waterfall, and I can understand why it would be a favorite of yours. The water falling is truly beautiful, especially since you slowed the shutter speed down to show motion.
Hi Steve,
A nice capture of this beautiful waterfall.
It looks very similar to one not far away from here.
My favourite waterfall is the Marokopa Falls on the West Coast of the North Island.
Pam Russel (coasties) posted a really nice shot of it: Marokopa Falls
Cheers
Steve

This is a fine shot Stephen and is a very good example of photographing water at a slow shutter speed. You have done a great job as the rest of the scene is nice and sharp. As always, very well composed with good depth of colour, tone and textures.

Hi Stephen,
Beautiful waterfall, beautiful shot - can you remember the shutter speed? Lovely contrast between the sharp mossy rocky sides and the flowing waters. Great work. TFS, Doug
