[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've not been active much on the site lately. Other things have taken the upperhand over photography at the moment.. sigh... But, I did take the opportunity on a sunny (but bitter cold) day a few weeks ago to wander over to Windsor and see what the bird life was doing on The Thames.

The Black-Headed Gulls were quieter than normal, and seemed intent on riding the waves rather than the wind.. with the odd one or two standing on the boat dock. This one looked very pensive, staring out at the water... hence the title of the photo. Perhaps he's wishing he were a migratory bird; thinking of how nice a sunny beach would be. Somewhere other than Britain, someplace where the days are long and warm.

Hope you are well. A lovely sharp composition. The contrast of textures is really nice, the gull has nice detail and you have handled the exposure very well.
