[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello,

Another posting from Ilkley Moor at the weekend - converted to Black and White as I felt this shot worked with the gritty stark contrast and mood it provides.

Not a shot to cheer you up, granted, but it does portray the cold bleak feel up there on the moor!

The image seems to have degraded slightly (bottom of the sky) in the conversion for web size - but I don't have time to re-try it at the moment!

Not sure why I shot it at ISO400 - can either blame the cold slurring my judgement or pretend I was going for an old school grainy look...

Great shot Doug!
The conversion to B+W was a great idea.
The photo has striking contrast between the white snow and dark vegetation.
Once again the wind-blown shrub acts as great FG interest.
Excellent composition.
