Superb macro Joe!
great close up of a Green Bottle from a POV that lets us see the eyes, head and front of the thorax with fine sharpness and detail. Thanks to shots like these we on TN get to know a lot of insect surface anatomy.

Very well managed macro of the eyes of a green Bottle Fly, Joe.
Each segment of the compound eye is distinct and sharp. Fill flash has reflected rather sharply on some points but that does not affect the essential elements of this powerful macro.

Eye fixation. You do love the macros whether it is a spider or fly or whatever...I too would like to see through the eyes but just for a bit...not sure my neurons are capable of receiving and knowing all things as these do. Perhaps it is our logic which would confound us. Insects have no logic so no worry!

Hello Joe,

It is amazing how the texture of the insect's part appear when shot at a very close macro. The texture and colors are just suprising as well as brilliant.

You have made a super composition here under nice lighting. The details and sharpness are flawless considering a shot like this requires meticulous precision. I like the eyes which look like some artificial mesh matching with the metallic color of the body. The clarity of the fine hair and all the details are very impressive indeed.
