This is a nice composition of this beauty. But it looks like you have focused on its eye. The sharpness and details of the head and plumae are first class. But big sorry friend I can not to identify of birds.

Yes - he is colorful and beautiful. Fantastic closeup of this unidentified bird. Excellent details - the eye is amazing with all of those rings. Wonderful colors - wonderful shot.

Great close-up with excellent colours and detail. I went round the Botanical Gardens and Bird Park in Funchal today - I am no birder, but head 'looks' like some sort of Amazon or Lorakeet (which probably narrows it down to a couple of hundred)!!

This looks like a Loriket to me. This is an excellent potrait and the colors are well saturated. Those eyes with a catch light is an added bonus

A truly beautiful close-up my friend!
I new i'd like this one right from the thumbnail: striking colors, wonderful contrast and knowing it was you who took it - sharp details.
The side POV here words very nicely and the attention you benefited from the parrot gave you an excellent eye-contact.
Very good choice of the DOF, too in order to keep everything nice and clear.
