[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I went to Arne Nature Reserve on the edge of Poole harbour last night. It is run by the RSPB but is home to many groups of wildlife. This is due to the varying terrains that it occupies.
Of all the animals present I think the herd of Sika Deer touched me the most. Altough slightly flighty at first they soon got used to the man in the funny wooly hat that would not go away and returned to snuffling through the leaves.
I would heartily recommend Arne to anyone as a fantastic day out as they have walks for all capabilities.

Hi Jai,
great timing mate, a lovely pose you caught here. Composition is good with space on the left for this Sika to gaze into...Like the setting too, Arne is a fab place to walk and enjoy, looking forward to getting back there asap!

A gentle and super use of natural light to show various tonals on the deer. that is the main positive of the image!

Excellent shot of this Sika Deer, Jai!
Like Paul said, you have composed this really well giving enough space for the deer to look into.
Gorgeous warm light and excellent colours.
The field in the BG is quite burnt out but the rest of the image is perfectly exposed.
Sharp and detailed.

Lovely capture of the Sitka. Great pose and framing, plus lovely light and colour. My wife is from Westbourne and did her MSc Thesis on the Isle of Arne.

Hello Jai
I have read about Sika deer but there are none in my area.
You have done a great job in this picture..superb sharp details with a great setting and background..if I am honest though..Theres a touch to much space to the left that my eye tends to focus on opposed to the eye of the sika..That said its just my opinion and I wish I had this shot in gallery!!
