A VERY impressive and good example of how a fine system such as Canon and you handled such a high ISO with very little or no noise. Excellent work Joey. You do know this could open a whole new world!? I sent you an email...hurry go look!

Hi Joe,
Can't believe this was at ISO 1600 and little or no noise. The face and plummage are beautiful with wonderful details and nice colors. I like the background.

Hi Joe
Lovely capture of the Dunnock
Nicely composed with a good POV and a excellent tail up pose.
Very nice sharp feather detail
Superb natural colours and lovely light
I'm going to have to sit down and learn about all this ISO stuff, I'm ashamed to say I point and click.

Hello Joe,
Excellent photo for this light conditions. ISO 1600: Only a bit of noise on the underside of the bird in the BG. Didn't you use photoshop or something like that?
Great sharp details and composition. Beautiful colours, also in the BG.
Regards,
Peter

Hola Joe.
Aun con un ISO alto se logra aqui una muy buena nitidez, no degrada mucho la foto y los pixeles conservan su tamaño y brillantez.
Buena foto Joe.
Es dificil poder lograr una imagen asi.
Saludos Joe.

Hi Joe
Great shot - you have retained great sharpness in the shot and nice colour. Well done.
The main problem I find about shooting at the highest speeds is that there is less leeway in post-processing - you have to get it right first time. So double well done.

Hello Joey, superb shot of a beautiful bird, and the background is superb, I love those colours. It's incredible how much details 1600 ISO can retain. You have good gear, you have good technics and talent. It makes a superb photo. Thank you Joey,

ISO 1600 is the other side of the scale, Joe.
Anyway, it is the brave ones who venture and your venture has paid rich dividends.
If it was really too dark to take this picture, this is also a perfect example of the full range of potentials of a good DSLR in actual use.
Well done and keep venturing!

Hi Joe!
Imagine the same picture with these ISO settings a couple of years ago, or today with a less good camera than yours! The progress is huge, although this picture is not as clear and sharp as your pictures usually are. It lacks a bit of what we would call "piqué" in French. But the high ISO settings in combination with the low light conditions, as you described them, allowed you take a good picture. This is a very valuable posting if I consider that I normally use 100 ISO...
Kind regards
Markus
