[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
found in the garden this afternoon, the lily beetle is a serious pest to lilys and plants of the lily family.
they have orange grubs covered in black slime and feed on plants in the summertime.
they have up to 3 generations in one year and the adults of the last generation hibernate in the soil.

size 6 to 8mm

habitat gardens or anywhere lilys grow

country most of europe

season all year but usuall april to august

Hello Clint,
a brilliant and sharp picture of this small beetle.
Legs, the left antenna and surface structures are shown very clear.
Light is well managed in particular considering the reflecting elytrae.
Colours and background are pleasant.

Hi Clint. Long time no see. hope you are well. This is fine well detailed close up of the Lily beetle . As you say they an do a lot of damage for a small insect. good use of the light with a spot on POV/DOF. well done TFS.
