[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was up and out early on Saturrday morning in search of more Sika Deer with friends. Unfortunately we were let down on this front, we walked for roughly an hour an then sat and watched a solitary Canada Goose sleep. Not the best photo opportunites but on the trudge back to the car I saw this little beacon shining up from the forset floor. I am poor at fungi I.D i'm afraid so any help would be much appreciated.







Strangely after naming this shot Beacon I am now to find thanks to all your help that it is actually a Bog Beacon, obviously well named.

Great macro - excellent detail and beautiful colour saturation. No ides what it is though.

If he says Bog Beacon then I shall agree, as Howard is pretty good at this as you know...and I did a search as well..but there are so many fungi folks out there who will surely come along and correct us...with points as well I hope for you...It is somewhat a letdown when a day doesn't go as well as expected...but then right at the end of your trek you stumble upon something pretty cool...I admire that quality in your camera spirit and your eye! Very well then..

Hello Jai,

i know a little about fungi's, i photograph a lot of fungi and already several species posted on TN.
These specie are in latin name - Mitrula paludosa.
I don't know the english name.

Good of sharpness with beautiful natural colors.

Lovely colors and good sharp focus! This plant seems to glow from within! I like the glossy surface of the green spikes. This is very well captured. TFS
