We have had a very wet day again here in the south of England with not much better in the way forcast for a few days. This picture of the Blue Tit and Nuthatch made me laugh it looks as if the Tit is still looking for the nut. This was taken on a new macro lens i had bought earlier in the year I was just trying it out on that day.

Hi Nicholas,
Lovely moment.Well caught and composed.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Nick
This is a lovely capture..A two for the price of one deal!
Superb focus on both birds and as you say very humourous..It does also show how hard these lovely birds will work for thier food...Super oof background which really highlights them both.
Lets hope the Rain stops soon..Its giving us super moody clouds but its not good for the Butterflys!!
Paul

Hi Nick, you seem capable of improving your "small" British birds to new standards. This has to be one of your best, to get both of these tiny birds doing what they are doing, is first class work, it shows a dedication and skill you have for these. I am impressed...I intended getting a Sigma 180 to go with my 105, you have convinced me!! TFS regards h

Hi Nicholas!

I found the nut, hehehe, and what are you searching for? I guess the bird is just thinking that in order to keep the nut in his beak. He probably has read the tale of La Fontaine "The fox and the craw"...

Very well put on stage with a humerous touch!

Kind regards

Markus

You also have been playing the game of packing the log for their hide and seek. Nice colouration combined with a lucky but natural pose.

Hola Nicholas, una toma en la cual el momento es muy bueno, buen enfoque, luz y color, el efecto dinamico que produce la posición de los pajaros es muy bueno. Un saludo

I'll bet you have not seen my message about an ID..I have no clue as to birds and am about to give em up...My cup is full and I overflow...wow...what a good shot this one is with the two and one obviously not interested in a American politics by keeping head buried in something else..it is humour of America which sometimes escapes as what mu m used to say dry humour:-)

Hello Nick,
Your camera work has produced an outstanding image with fantastic colors and razor sharp details. That tit better beware of his position. Thanks for sharing Nick.
Rick

Very humorous picture, Nick!
The Blue tit with its head hidden is still looking for what the Nuthatch already has found.
It is a stroke of luck to see both these birds together and then capture them so beautifully.
The lighter moments in nature photography are rather rare and your picture has made me smile.
The image is technically superb.
TFS and regards.

Hi Nick,
A nice two in one capture. Excellent composition and details. And I think the nuthatch is the winner as it is named so. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Weather has been very grim today... I hope the weather was better for you.
A superb capture of this Blue Tit and Nuthatch.
You must have been very close to have got this with the 180mm!
Razor-sharp with lots of detail.
Excellent poses.
The title is great :-)
Well done Nick!

Joe

p.s is your 100-400 focusing properly yet?

Hello Nick,

My first reaction when I saw the beautiful photo, a big smile on my face. The Nuthatch with his price (the nut) and the Blue Tit still searching. A amazing compo. Perfect timing. Beautiful natural colors. A fun picture. Regards and TFS BOB

Hi Nichlas,
THis is a picture with very interesting and original composition. I like an idea for taking picture during bird's dinner :) Only one detail is not perfect as for me - the second bird, a tit, is not very well seen :(
Anyway, nice to watch this picture :)
Regards,
Radomir
