[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Dunnocks and Blackbirds in my garden go crazy whenever I put mealworms out... this Dunnock came too close for my 100-400 lens to focus! Lucky he moved a bit further away so I could get this shot.

I hope you like it!

Hello Joe,
Great detail and well framed. I see you are also pushing your ISO, I am now shooting all my wildlife pics at 800, at first I was worried about noise, but that doesnt seem to be a problem with digital photography and it also ups my shutter speed.
Well done, fantastic photo
Peter

Hi Joe,

Looks like an old man with a cigar in his mouth! Fantastic close-up - the details of the face, feathers, beak and eye are wonderful. Beautiful colors and shadings. The worm in the beak makes this really special.

Hi Joe,

Wow! what a great close up shot.
The details are fantastic, you can really see how the markings are made up with all the white tipped feathers going aroung the eye.
Nicely composed with a great POV set against a lovely OOF BG.
Superb colours too.
Think I might invest in some mealworms! if you get results like this!.

Hil

Well done! Well shot! Great work there.....a wonderful moment captured. :)

WOW! Joe, What a lovely capture. I wish i to get too shoot a bird that close. Meal worms, eh? I wonder whether we get it here.
Excellent focus, sharpness and details in the plumage. The point of view is perfect.
Thanks for the share,
Smitha.

Hi Joe,
his is a truly exceptional portrait of a Dunnock. They are very shy where I live, but you have to almost scrape it off your lens! Smart guy, puts out mealworms. Look at all the details you can study on the head, wonderful.
Best regards
Dietrich
