You managed to catch a true beauty despite this is from last year generation (I think). Excellent work of long optic combination, sharpness are great as well as well saturated pleasant colours. I like nice BG which supplements the butterfly by colour and texture perfectly. My best wishes and TFS.

I've been waiting for a Comma to show up in my garden but without success so far, so you have beaten us to it. Nice open wing capture with most of it sharp and contrasting well against the neutral BG.

Nice POV and a great pose.
Very good sharpness and I like the shadow
Well saturated colours contrasting nicely with the plain BG.
I have seen one Butterfly so far this year and it flew past so quick I never even got a chance to see what type it was, hopefully we will start seeing some emerge up north soon!

Hi Joe . You have had this one a few days now i would of had to post it as early as i could.It makes you feel spring maty be here at last. i have seen some different butterflies so now i must just go out with the camera and macro lens. You have captured good detail and colours. well done TFS.

Very good shot of first butterfly. Haven't seen those yet. Very good lighting with a decent shadow, sharp details and bright natural colours. Very good work, thanks for sharing.
Have been away few days shooting birds in Norfolk and Yorkshire, and obviously Bempton Cliffs. One day left and 1000 files to sort out.

Congrats on your first butterfly of the year! Hopefully there will be many more to come :)
This is a great macro with a very nice composition. I like the way you've included his little shadow into the frame as well. Good details and lovely colors, too.
