Wow, Nick! This was worth the wait!

Hi. I don't suppose you'd consider giving me lessons, huh? I'm really jealous of your birds - you have a natural knack that always leaves me stunned. For example, I can see the different hues of the feathers, the catchlight, and it's a perfect pose/crop. The composition is always complimentary as is the background - it emphasizes the subject and while it's a perfect shade for the bird, it remains muted - as not to draw attention to itself.

I often look at your work - I strive to do the same quality of work. Wonderful job.

Hello Nick,
Superb capture of a male Greenfinch in a good pose, with fine sharpness and from an excellent close POV.
The green bokeh BG is really green and serves to illustrate well in this shot how the greenfinch appears to be green when its plumage has a combination of browny grey and yellow, to produce an illusion of green.
