Amazing how well you can take you seascapes and move them inland so well..I assume you have a set of rules of photo which you follow rather well..or make that very well....and even if you could share them it might be hard for us to learn unless we were right there as you saw..and watched you quietly as you worked...That is how anyone ZI know could learn from me and even then it wouldn't bet eh same which is what makes your images so unique!

Hi Paul!
You had a wonderful evening, I'm sure. Having a walk in such a beautiful and refreshing forest, living such an appeasing and peaceful atmosphere must provide a good feeling and let the stress of a working day forget. You have perfectly well managed the lighting that is very difficult in a forest with the great differences between light and shadow.
A soft, pleasing and almost healing atmosphere.
Kind regards
Markus

Hello Paul,
The light situation is magic!
The backlight plays wonderfully with the contrasting tree trunks, and the field of wild flowers makes a great lead-in...,
The image is telling the story of the season very well!

Lovely English woodland shot Paul.
Do you still have any of the thick dark woods with big gnarly old trees like you see in the movies?

Hi Paul
A beautiful composition - great use of wide angle and you have made the most of the warm evening light. Lovely shot.
On another note - the bluebells seem to be in competition with other plants which is rather unusual - normally they are the dominant species.
I am currently trying to fend off a sinus infection - my nasal passages are swollen from the fields of rape round here and the neighbours Bird Cherry!

Hello Paul!
What a beautiful place with those trees and the ground carpeted with bluebells! I love the light you captured between the trunks and the vertical composition. A delicious job, as ever. Thank you very much for sharing.
Have a nice day!

Great capture Paul,
I like the warm color and evening light filtering through the frame.
And I know what you mean about the "midges"..(mosquitos?).
We have a very small, and unseen to the naked eye pest here now called "chiggers". They burrow into your skin & itch like h*ll! :)

A fine forestscape Paul, the evening sun's slanting rays provide a nice illumination for the rich forest floor vegetation. Your wide angle capture again creates a deeep depth my friend, the beholder thinks he is within the frame!
Cheers,

Hi Paul
Splendid view over this forest captured beautiful in this spring sun.
I really like the vertical format here and the depth it gives the scene.
The bluebells look very nice in the FG but don't appear to be all in bloom yet :)
The sun rays shining among the trees in the back is also lovely and i think those great long shadows on the forest floor are also a big bonus for the compo.
Splendid work all around, my friend!
Bravo and TFS

Hello Paul
You have captured the scene perfectly..Gorgeous glowing light filtering through the trees illuminating the carpet of bluebells and it looks like many more wild flowers...Not a bad place at all for a stroll after work!

Hi Paul
well my new lens has arrived and tomorrow I have the day off work... doubt I will get anything like this, but I can only hope... know what you mean about the midge at the moment... having the same problem photoing my orchids as well... not to mention the smooth snake I found on my track last night around 6pm doing a very good inpersonation of a dead stick!
Great comp and colours btw.
Emma
When one sees things that are so perfect, Paul, one can't react...I feel so small and ordinary when I see nature's beauty. A lovely composition is all I can say.
Thank you.

Hello Paul,
A great image of these woods in early summer. the evening lighting is great in highlighting the trees and the flora that seems to include not only Bluebells but Pink and White Campions, Dead Nettles and grasses. Reminds me of our time in Dorset. BTW, I recommend Hod Hill as worth a visit not so far from here.
TFS this trip down memory lane!

What an amazing shot, I find it very difficult to have my pictures of the forest turn out, it is so difficult to achieve a good overall exposure! You've done a great job here!

nice scene, love the lighting, right now in our forests, they are still snowed under and not even the trees have bloomed yet, of course I haven't been to the western part of the state yet.
