This dandelion was taken while out walking in meadows. The title of the shot comes from something that I used to do as a child. Apparently you could tell the time by the ammount of puffs that it took to blow off all the seeds. I am not sure if this is something that my mother made up to keep my sister and myself occupied or anyone else did this ?
Anyway this is a shot I have been trying to get right for a while and I hope you like. |

ah yes...I did play much with these as children...the older I got, the more I was chastised for ding so by local gardeners who must have thought I was the dandelion fairy:-) Ours here have just turned yellow and it will be a bit yet before they hit this stage. Well done Jai. A good memory!

Hello Jai,
Yes, we all played that game, much to the distress of gardeners who were trying ferverently to keep the weeds out of their gardens!
Very nice, sharp details. It is possible to see where each seed head was once attached to the parent plant. Good, overhead pov.
If I was to offer a little advice, it would be to make the images just a little less central.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jai
Lovely shot - good framing plus great colour and great detail. Well observed and captured.

Hi Jai,
A nice capture of this beautiful dried dandelion. Excellent composition and sharp details. Don't worry I also have goose bumps when I see spiders or mantises with prey but I control myself. Thanks a lot for sharing.
