[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot is of I believe a Banded Demoiselle. It was taken at the same place as the shot yesterday but slightly more hidden away. We had walked most of the length of the river and I spotted a break in the undergrowth and decided to get down to the waters edge. While getting stung by nettles and torn by prickles I thought of turning back until I saw this Demoiselle. Once I stood still I realised that I was surrounded ! Not the best light as there were a lot of shadows but I still liked it.

Hello Jai,
A nice image, as you say the direct sunlight and shadow creates some problems, although there is still quite a bit of detail in the shadow. Nice and sharp with good DOF, a nice image.
Regards,
Adrian

Great capture of this male Banded Demoiselle!
Really detailed and very sharp.
Nice vibrent colours and a decent exposure in the awkward light (a bit of flash would have eliminated the shadows but may have burnt out a few areas)
Great POV and composition.

Well done Jai!

Cheers,
Joe

You're going to have to be careful Jai...When your images are as sharp and fine as your dad's...I wonder what he shall do:-) Nice image....I always like your notes, as they tell more about either how you got the image or what is happening at the time...the rest we can find on the net...but you get personal and it works well!

Greetings Mr Glen,
you really got some nice colour here! Very well exposed in the bright and difficult light, excellent composition and bang on DOF...looks like you'll be getting your own Dragonfly suit pretty soon ;o)
Cheers,
Paul
