Today i would like to dedicate this to our friend Ridvan Iron from Turkey . I have been in contact with him although he has not posted for a while because he has been very busy at work and preparing for his wedding which is the 21st of June. So i wish him and his new bride all the best and happiness.

This can often be confused with the Common Coenagrion.
The markings on the Males Abodomen usually resembles dot attached to stalk but it is rather variable in shape.

Hello Nicholas,
in contrast to the picture of "matisse02" (close to yours), you present a very colourful picture
with respect to the damselfly and the background. Both compositions work very well.
You selected the right focus plane to show thus the 'eye-catching' parts with pretty good sharpness.
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Nick,
What a fantastic macro. Sharpness, details and colours are perfect as usual. Excellent composition, POV and DOF. Amazing light.
Have a nice weekend,
Peter

Hello Nick,
A fine capture of the Common Blue damselfly with excellent sharpness where it counts and a fine composition and DOF against the contrasting green BG.
It makes a fine tribute to our friend Ridvan and we wish him well on his Midsummer wedding.
TFS this beauty,
Ivan

Hello Nick,
Nice to see a lovely Dameselfly coming from you and a very beautiful one too! I like the light and the fine background that makes this Damsel really stand out. Great sharpness and natural colours too and I like your POV. Well done!
TFS and have a nice weekend! Ulla

Hi Nicholas,
Nicely captured and composed frame. Vivid blue of the damselfly makes a nice contrast with pastel background. I have several photos of the same species, you saved me from the trouble of identfying them. Thanks.
Ali

Hi Nick,

Nice macro shot with great depth of field. Not the best angle to shoot from as it's impossible to get the whole Damselfly into focus, but you've managed to produce a great picture despite this. The colours and lighht are superb.

INTERESANTE ENCUADRE Y SOBRE TODO UNOS PRECIOSOS COLORES

...and here I thought I liked the golden ones best from India and Sumon etc...but perhaps this nice light blue will suit better. Can you ever imagine what it might look like beyond this life?! wow! If an entity can create these then what must lay beyond....ahhh...
Bob

Beautiful color and light Nicholas, well composed frame.
Sharp & detailed where it must be, an esthetically pleasing image..
Best regards to the newlyweds to be as well :)
