Hell Everyone,

Today I am posting a lovely pink clover.
I positioned the camera to capture its attractive leaves as well. At first, I thought it was a four leaf clover but then realised that a bud was giving the impression of a fourth leaf ... ah, well! Four leaf clovers are reputed to be lucky! I will have to find a black cat instead!

I took this shot in the early evening when the low sun was casting a spotlight on the flowers and illuminating their petals beautifully.

A little further knowledge from Wikipedia:
Clovers are a valuable survival food, as they are high in protein, widespread, and abundant. They are not easy to digest raw, but this can be easily fixed by juicing them or boiling them for 5-10 minutes. Dried flowerheads and seedpods can also be ground up into a nutritious flour and mixed with other foods. Dried flowerheads can also be steeped in hot water for a healthy, tasty tea.

Hello Bev,
Excellent close capture of this Red Clover in beautiful light. Great sharpness and lovely natural colours and I like your composition. Personally I don't think a frame should attract the attention more than the subject so here I find this dark frame rather to dominant. Otherwise no complaints! :-)

The red and pink clovers are very well known for their healing abilities...even as far as being researched in cancer! I had only small patches of them in my 20 acres of wilderness...most of my clover was white...and somewhat boring, so the pinks and reds showed up well..We used them in teas..ahhh the good old mountain days..I miss them and your picture today really strikes an old familiar chord. Well seen and a fine image for the start of my day! Thanks Bev.

Hi Beverley . You have a very nice picture of the clover with good detail and bright colours. I like the pose you have captured with the flower behind. All set of in a nice frame. i may have left the pink colour out of it but thats just me. well done TFS.
