He looks like a youngster with his fluffy head. Wonderful POV and pin sharp. I like the slight tilt to the head as it makes him look rather quizzical. You caught the colour of the lovely green feathers perfectly

He is so cute, Nicholas, there is something in his head that looks young, and it is superb with its short legs. They really look like our Goldfinches those birds. As usual, your picture is technically excellent, so nice to look at, with a gret light even though you mention it was dull and rainy at times. We see the true colours of the bird, it is superb,

I didn't even know there was a green finch! It has a slightly larger head than the gold one, unless that is just the proper English way of things..I wonder if we mimic nature in some ways...Nicely seen Nick!

A superb sharp capture of a male Greenfinch. The pose, POV and composition are all excellent and make the image very appealing. I think you may be right that this is a young male: there is some streaking in the belly that indicates that it hatched last year.

You managed to capture this lovely bright yellow coloured bird, in a great pose. Clear details of the paws, eyes and beak are beautifully displayed. Good focus, good sharpness and good framing.
