[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Starling (Sturnus vulgaris), family Sturnidae. A common species found throughout Europe, summer only in north and east. In winter it gathers and roosts in huge flocks many thousands strong. As with most birds in Europe, there has been a decline in numbers due to loss of habitat.

This one was picking for scraps near the seaside in the Southbourne area of Bournemouth.

I see these along the clifs tops by my house in Southbourne alot, but they are in quite large numbers at Hengistbury Head.
Fine detail and beautiful colours too, well done.

Although now isn't season on the starlings on TN yours is very well done. Clarity of colours and sharpness.

Hello Vinny,
You captured and processed this one very well. I do like the depth of field which is not obvious in such close encounters. Secondly the the image is well exposed and thus generating rich tones. For example the metallic colours are well done.
