I have taken Maniola jurtina in many times. but I couldnt manage to capture its dorsal view of its wings. You can do it with a perfect macro-shot. congratulations indeed. Thanks for sharing, best wishes

Nicholas, smooth as butterscotch, bright as summer... when will you publish your work? The composition here is so graceful, the colours are great in the beautiful light. I like the simplicity and the neutral background giving way to the beautiful flowers and butterflies. Thanks a lot once more!

Hi Nicholas!

This is a very delicate picture, held in fine pastel colours and well composed. I like the overall unity of the colour tones and the artistic aspect, but, from my point of view, that kind of uniform background is a bit unnatural, knowing that this consideration is very personal.

This one has an actual flavor to it. The colour combination's bring about a taste in my mount...Now since I don't normally eat butterfly's I can only imagine that this particular combination's has struck some chord.....somehow it reminds me of ice cream. Not sure if that makes any sense but if it does anything, it shows how well good colour combination can work!

You managed to catch a very nice scene. I have many shots of the species but I have not even ones from this back POV I like whole scene a lot too. Very nice combination of an impressive plant, buds and two butterflies. Lights and colours are wonderful, Cropping is superb. Well done and TFS.

Hello Nick,
I have missed your latest during my absence but this one caught my eye. A fine open-wing capture of a male Meadow brown with a another on the same thistle flower behind with its wings closed. This is not only technically excellent, but a fine educational shot showing the upper and under surfaces of the wings of the male Meadow Brown.
