[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Tiny Bush Vetch, Vicia sepium.

Pea family, growing to about 50cm tall. This plant uses tendrils to support itself, as it soon becomes prostrate.

The flowers grow in clusters and can get to about 15mm long.

Currently having appallingly wet and overcast weather... Monsoons will be next!!!

This tiny flower, about 3-5mm long, was all that remained on a bush of this vetch. All the other flowers had wilted, this solitary one only remaining. The flower is "as is" in perspective, this is how it was hanging!!!

I wanted to give as much clarity to this tiny flower as possible, without over sharpening or excessive PP work.

ISO 100, F-stop, f/22, shutter speed 1/800, flash used (automatic)

Tripod used, mirror lock, remote shutter release. manual focus (as always). Shot in RAW. Lens was adjusted to good focus, then locked. The fine adjustment to the focus was done using the micro-slide plate. This enables the camera to remain fixed and hopefully get sharper and more detailed images.

Hello Howard

A very elegant capture of this dainty floret.
It always amazes me how much detail is in the tiniest flowers.
I like the diagonal look.
Very good POV and DOF.
The oof bg contrasts well.

I still need to find out if this RAW format, you use so wonderfully well, Howard, is available on my camera.Or maybe, i can find some software to convert JPEGs to RAW?
You make the flower look like its made of satin or the finest silk!
Hats off to you, my friend!
