Triple spot on...so sharp Nick...Did you use a higher ISO? I didn't look, but it looks as though you pushed you camera to the max on this one..I couldn't do better with a full day and perfect conditions...Keep on with whatever it is you are doing with the latest image!

Nic, This is a very good picture. I appreciate the way you have aligned the butterfly with the stem running across the picture in the background. I also appreciate your choice of aperture for increased depth of field. You can try to be parallel to the butterfly wings in future to get greater sharpness on wings or try focus stacking through multiple exposures.

You present us a superb picture! beside the fact that the butterfly is beautiful, the technical aspects of the picture are impressive. The diagonal composition with the position of the butterfly and the haulm is well done and the coloured spot of the flower adds to the value of the picture. Moreover, the picture is perfectly sharp and rich with details.

hello Nick,

I saw one of these in the meadowlands near my home but the weather was grey and dismal and because it was resting amongst grasses rather than on a large fower, it was almost impossible to focus in on it!

This is an excellent sharp capture. I like the slightly angled pov. The lovely details of pattern, colour and texture are very well portrayed.
