Lovely close view of this young Bluetit in a nice pose. Great sharpness and beautiful light and colours. We don't feed the birds this time of year but the Bluetits we fed in the winter have come back to show us their young ones and they're very cute!

Sometimes the need to get a shot quickly prevents us from composing it exactly as we would like but despite the lack of space under the bird's feet, this is still an excellent shot! The sharpness and details cannot be faulted! He has lovely markings but is still obviously a youngster!

Hi Nick,

With this shot I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of space below the feet! It's a wonderful close-up of this juvenile showing the babyish expression on his face. The colors are just amazing with every shade in his wings visible. Beautiful details of the face, wings and the plummage with every feather standing out.

Its a totally cute pose with the head turned to look at you and a nice catchlight in the eye.

Hi Nick,
A great image with good detail and colour.
Its always nice to come across photos of these little English birds.They remind me of many happy hours in my grandmas garden at Clacton on Sea,watching the tits,finches,robin,thrushes,blackbirds and sparrows coming and going from the bird feeder.
We have sparrows,chaffinches,thrushes and blackbirds here,but our tits and robin are very different.

A picture can tell many tales, as can this one, Nick...
I don't know why, but this beauty is sad, but looks content, as well...Lifes' harshness seems to have hardened it!But the more vunerable side is still visible...in its eye!
