I wish it was mine, Paul! The flash is very well managed here and it gives a razorsharp definition of all details. IMO, it's difficult to get a better photographic document of this hoverfly. BG is ideal here. You did a splendid job!

I haven't seen this type of hoverfly before, I reckon. It does ressemble a bee very much with the pollen-collecting coat, however the head gives it away ;-)
Excellently sharp capture with good light and the subject standing out nicely from the dark bg.

The colours and clarity of both the flower and insect are excellent, Paul. The beautiful dark green background also helps them to stand out. I like how the insect is cover in the flower's pollen. Great detail. Well captured.
