[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of a pair in a nesting box, I posted a picture recently of it perched, waiting to enter the box. They are actively feeding their chicks now, in and out all the time. The only thing that depresses me is they keep bringing back spiders :-(. I spent a long frustrating time getting this shot, I know it's not perfect but it made me happy, I hope you like it.

Blue Tit. Parus caeruleus
Its colourful mix of blue, yellow, white and green make the blue tit one of the most attractive resident garden birds. Almost any garden with a peanut feeder will attract them and they readily breed in nestboxes. In winter they form flocks with other tit species and a garden with four or five at a bird table at any one time, may be feeding 20 or more.

Where does it live?
Breeding
Mainly deciduous woodland, especially likes oak trees. Has adapted to gardens with mature trees or nestboxes. Also found in parkland, hedgerows and conifers.

Wintering
Woodland birds often move into suburban gardens in severe weather.

Where to see it
A common woodland and garden bird, also seen along hedgerows and in most places with trees and bushes.
What does it eat?
Insects, caterpillars, seeds and nuts.

What does it sound like?
A high pitched, trilling song; churring alarm call and high call notes.

When to see it
All year round.

hello:) nice shot:) great moment:) I like it much:) today I was so at the conference:((( I am tired but I want to see so beauty photos like this one:)

Very busy night. Great capture Paul.
Thanks for posting
Will re-write soon

Nice shot! First the good: You've captured this one well, birds on the wing are tricky, and when they're this small, they're still harder. Focus etc are good too. The bad? I think your post-processing may have let you down a little - did you apply some GaussianBlur to the background by any chance? The corner of the nest box where the roof meets the top just looks strange to me... Anyway, well captured :-)

Hello Paul, you did a great action shot, very well composed i like the vivid colours & razorsharp details,

Regards,
Christian

Certainly a dramatic capture, Paul. I also like the composition, which must have been quick thinking! The bird is in a bit of an unusual posture, but we can't much blame him for that!

Regards,
Pieter

Very good picture.

Well done.

Hello Paul, We both know how difficult in-flights are..The small birds especially. Whole different ball-game..You have done well here to stop the action at 1/3000th..In the time you spent here you must've seen a whole parade of spiders takin' their last gasp!! Must've been painful? ;-) Well done my friend!

Hi Paul, wot Marhowie said, word for word :) I don't think I can put it any better. I did a little spell trying to catch birds in and out of our nestbox and didn't get much worth keeping so I know how hard it is. Great shot, TFS :)

Paul, it's really great. You used 1/3000, and that worked very well.

What was the ISO?

I do enjoy composition and sharpness.

A great and difficult capture.
