Hover-Fly
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This Hover-Fly (Helophilus pendulus) I found resting on the inside of my double glazing. A common hover-fly often seen visiting garden flowers and wayside plants such as hog-weed and the ragwort. Likes damp, wooded sites and the male often hovers over water. Flies from May to September. The larva live in stagnant water. Taken hand held with natural light. Cropped and slight sharpened. |

Immaculate capture, William.
The dorsal POV shows every detail and colour on the Hoverfly in its perfection.
I like your frame. Good carpentary. Which editing software provides such beautifully pre-fabricated frames? I would like to use it.
Thanks and best regards.
