Hello Joe,
as you know, this bird is on my wish list.
This is a well composed picture with a nice pose and taken with a good POV.
Very good exposure with fine and natural colours.
Decent sharpness with 2.0x converter but I think it could be better with one more step down.
Very fine work, my young friend.

Hello Joe,
Nice one of a Kingfisher taken from a nice POV to show most of its features with good sharpness and excellent colours. The composition against the neutral BG is great.
I wish I could take a shot like this, Kingfisher shots in Sweden are not easy to take as they are quite rare and very shy.
Thaks and all the best,
Ivan

Hi Joe.
My congratulations on first use of new camera (with such superb lenses). Shot of this beautiful bird is excellent without any doubts. Distance, magnification, POV and framing are great as well as nice colour reproduction and perfect sharpness of the bird image. Blurriness and neutral colouration of the BG are perfect for the subject. My compliments and kind regards.
Alexei.

I have heard of many others having not had a good shot at this bird. yours appears as best as I have seen....only exception being from a good Petersons guide perhaps. Well done Joey. I am so glad you're back and BTW I am still watering your flowers:-)

Hi Joey. I see your next posting is a big one i am sure you will be saving somthing special . Congrats on getting this Kingfisher. I to was lucky in the spring down at the river where we went in Wimborne. A good side POV so we camn see the whole bird. Your were lucky for it to land in the open. You have taken this with fine detail and natural colours. So when did the 50D come about. Well taken TFS.

Hi Joe
Big congrats, mate! I know how much you craved for this one :)
And it is a beauty! Details, colors, exposure and composition...all are top notch!
I see you had to shoot through some plants (the blurry part on the right) but even so, you really managed a great shot and - something worth underlining - without hours of waiting camouflaged in a hide.
Great stuff, mate!
Bravo and TFS
