[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've heard a saying that you never see baby pigeons. That was true for 35 years of my life, until I saw this one under a railway bridge in Dawlish, Devon.
The reason you don't ever see baby pigeons is that by the time they have fledged, they look identical to an adult bird, unlike other birds where sometimes the plumage is different, or they look 'fluffier'.

I did a search for 'baby pigeon' on TN and I only found 3 other shots of them, so that sort of confirms that they are a rare sight.

Technically, it's a pretty poor shot, there's a slight motion blur due to the very slow shutter speed, but I wanted to post anyway as it's a 'learn about nature' shot that I hope you'll appreciate.

Good to see the humble feral pigeon again on here. Good note, and an Ok picture to go with it. We get a lot of these living under the Pier near here, and every so often you see one or two go floating off over the horizon where they made a wrong move and fell from the nest.

Well Andy.. only a mother pigeon could love this little fellow lol.. It's quit unique indeed. I have taken the liberty of making some slight changes to it in workshop. Let me know what you think.

This is a first for me, I don't recall ever seeing a baby pigeon.

Hello Andy, a tough one to take with the lighting. I certainly haven't seen a baby pigeon before so it's worth posting even though it's not high quality. Very well done.

What a cutied.Clear eyes,details on baby piagon,expression on face are wonderful.Light condition was not suitable.Very well done!
