Raft spider fishing. Unlike may other spiders, these are languid creatures and generally move quite slowly, enabling this handheld shot. This is my first photo upload, so is a bit experimental. The photo should appear in the next LNHS Newsletter (London Natural History Society). It was taken on an LNHS field trip.

Welcome to TN ! You start with a nice shot. Sharpness is good and it is interesting to see the water tension under leggs, like on my wasp shot on water. Just the leaf overexposed... Thanks Mick for sharing with us.

What a clear shot of the spider, Mick. The details are very sharp and the point of view is excellent. The glare from the leaf is a bit distracting, but no matter. I really like the way the feet touch the water. Thanks for sharing this colorful spider, and a warm welcome to TN. : )

Very nice close-up you start with, Mick.
It's a bit OE amd the spider are a little soft but well composed and good POV. The colours are nice too.
Well done.

Welcome to TN.
