Hygrocybe spp! - If anyone knows the exact ID I'd be happy to hear it. This was taken on a mossy formal lawn from just about ground level.
thanks for looking. |

What a wonderful and interesting fungi shot that you have well done ! Congratulations and thanks for sharing here.
PS : excuse me for my short comment but I explain why on the forum…
Hi Matt, could be Hygrocybe langei.
Nice composition and low perspective, shame about the hotspots around the rim of the cap, good colour and detail though.
Regards
Terry.
Hi Matt,
good photo, congratulations.
Your photo shows (very probably) Hygrocybe ceracea (Wulfen 1781) Kummer 1871.
Explaining the reason why I recognized it is very difficult because it needs a lot of axperience on the field.

TN has become very big, and a lot of great shots are missed.
Beutiful light work, Matt. Now this is getting the best of the F/4. It is also quite descriptive with the gills and the cap in only one shot. I like this composition, also a close crop could be nice. Thanks for sharing all this beautiful fungi and regards, Felipe.
