Moray Eel
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Just getting out of the shipwreck RMS Rhone, in Salt Island, British Virgin Islands, I saw this moray eel calling me for a portrait. The moray is commonly friendly, despite its snake's look.
RMS Rhone seems Royal Mail Steamer Rhone, and she was launched in 1865 in England. She died a premature death in a ferocious hurricane in 1867.
Weighing 2.738 gross tons, she was 310 feet in length.
Jackeline Bisset dove there starring "The Deep".
I have some pictures I took from the ship, but I have to scan it to post here. I´ll do it soon.
Here, the moray is the RMS Rhone star.
All the best!

Not a bad shot, quiet clear and DOF is ok.The composition could be a little better if the eel was not centered. I do like your photo, eels make good subjects they are facially animated creatures.

Wow what a place to go diving. I envy you. Suppose till things change I will just have to be satifised i with Northern Waters. The picture of the Moray is very nice. Amazing these fish are, and scary looking. Yet they are very interesting subjects to photo.
Well done and thanks for sharing. All the best.
