I knelt down to take a macro of a Dandelion. This one has not fully opened yet, as you can see. This fly appeared on the flower, which was an unexpected and quite nice surprise.
I do not know the identification of the fly. If anyone can identify it, then please do. :)
P.S. Having learned by having an image deleted not to post images of flowers from the garden, even if I think they're not cultivated, I am going to just post images from outside the garden. Obviously there are better people than me on this site who can tell if a flower is a cultivated one simply by looking at a photo of it.
This was taken taken in the nearby woods, named Half Crown Woods, which is a Nature Reserve. Only a fence seperates my house from the Nature Reserve, which is always very nice for seeing wildlife. Numerous species of insects, spiders, and birds, can be seen daily. Badgers, hedgehogs, , foxes, squirrels, and larger birds such as Pheasants, have also been seen on occasion.
Technical: Adjusted levels, contrast, exposure... but found them to not benefit the image, so I have left it as it was. I have cropped the image, however, to bring tighter focus around the fly but still show the Dandelion. |
