Hover Fly
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I believe this is syrphus ribesii - a common hover fly found throughout the UK. It is typically seen in adult form from April to October and its larva is a useful aphid predator.
This was photographed with a 2x teleconverter. |

Hi Andrew.
Excellent close-up shot. Irreproachable DOF and POV, details and sharpness. Superb BG and colours. Praiseworthy job. My congratulations,
Alexei.
Great capture Andrew,
The details are nice, clear and sharp.
Good colours, lighting and exposure. DOF is spot on and the POV is good. I'm pretty sure the ID is good.
Well composed and nicely framed.
Thanks for posting, have a great weekend.
Hello Andrew
Very sharp and good colors.
Very well done!
