Green Capsid Bug

Another green capsid bug. I think this one was not yet fully developed as it was smaller than the others (about 2mm) and did not have fully developed wings. It was hanging off the stem of a decomposing leaf.
The photo has been cropped significantly and rotated 90 degrees to the right for a better composition. A 2x teleconverter was used.
I believe the scientific name for this species is Lygocoris pabulinus. The bug sucks the sap of new flowers and is something of a garden pest. Not sure what this one was doing in a compost heap! |

Hi Andrew.
This is a very nice macro considering the size. You realy got into the deatils of this tiny bug. I had a look at you gallery and the aphids are very detailed too. You have very nice photos. TFS.
Very good macro with very good quality and colours make a very good picture.
