Soldier Beetle
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This is a common soldier beetle (Rhagonycha fulva). Photo was taken with a 2x teleconverter. This has to be one of the most frustrating insects I've photographed so far. It wouldn't sit still and every time I managed to get a composition and focus that I was happy with it would take off and fly to the other end of the garden. I'm reasonably happy with this one but will take more if I can find it again. |

Hello Andrew.
Very nice close up of this beetle. Sharpness is very good and i likoe the POV. Well done.

Andrew...superb take...your patience was well rewarded. Love the composition, POV & DOF - the unsharp sectors really contribute to the overall photo & enhance the main subject. Did you use the micro 105 + a 2XTC ? I have both but never have used them in conjunction, does it increase the enlargement factor ?
Great job, thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Robert
