[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After yesterdays photo of the yellow funghi I found I went back out to my local park to look for more examples. This time I was more appropriately dressed and didn't have to climb any fences :-) I found these gorgeous orange examples around the oak trees behind the tennis courts. I will also post an extra photo as a workshop as I couldn't get all the views into one post without making them too small

I'm not sure what this is. It may be Aleuria aurantia (otherwise known as the orange peel funghi). The orange peel fungus. If I have the ID correct then this species is often found on bare soil close to decaying stumps of trees. It is an example of a "cup fungus". Fungi like these are very different from the mushrooms and toadstools and their close relatives. The spores from the cup fungi are produced on the upper surface of the fruit body and discharged forcibly into the air.

Hello Hester,
Very nice collage of this fungus with excellent details and good colours. I think you're right about the ID.

Again a nice specie for TN mycological gallery. Great collage showing different alternatives, good light, shapness and colours. I think it would improve with a bit of previous cleaning of disturbing grasses.
You gave me an idea, I think I have never posted this one, maybe I will post tomorrow :)
Best wishes, have a nice Sunday.

Hola Karan:
Bellos colores agradable compo... muchos saludos

Hi Karan,
Great close up shot of this fungi. I like contrasting color of the fungi and grasses surrounding them. Yes, they look like orange peel (shape and color).

Hi friend,
Brilliant .... Great macro's with wonderful colors and spectacular details! Great orange :) colours!
Take care Ana:)

Hi Karan,
A nice collage. Collages seem to be a recent trend on TN and no doubt yours is of high quality. Good colours and contrast. I really like the photos on the left and bottom right but the top right seems to be a little lacking. It looks like someone stepped on it. Nonetheless, a good collage.
