Loch Awe - the longest inland loch in Scotland. A loch of immense beauty set amidst the magnificent mountains of the Scottish Highlands. Still unspoiled but easily accessible.

This one was taken on a very overcast day - so I had to use my filters to put some "life" into the photo.

I used 0.6 hard grad ND filter with a combination of a Cokin Tobacco to create a misty mood.

There is a great atmosphere in the photo and that has to do with the nice light and the dark clouds. Well composed and good exposure.

Regards,
Pieter

Hello Piotr,
You're really a master of landscape photography and we can all learn a lot from you! This is magic - real drama again. The dark clouds and the colours. I also like the way the group of trees follow the shape of the mountains beyond, the calm pools of water, the movement in the grass at the front - all really fabulous!
Many thanks, Ulla

Excellent light, and good composed with very suitable restrained colours.
Well done Piotr.

TFS Anders.

Witaj na TN,
Wlasnie odkrylem Twoja galerie - piekne zdjecia. Rewelacyjne swiatlo i kolorystyka. Pieknie oddaje deszczowy nastroj szkockich highlandow. Prawie jakbym tam znowu byl :-)

My honest opinion is: magical!
Piotr, you outdid yourself again! The combination of filters here is outstanding and it gave you such a brilliant set of colors adn tones and a wonderful contrast between them and the dark bark of those beautiful trees.
Also the composition is more than lovely and the misty atmosphere is magnificent.
POV, DOF, sharpness...needless to say they are at the highest possible level. :)
Another GREAT post!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Piotr

Stunning scenery. Love the colour tones. Nicely composed and of very good quality. Nice camera work. :-)

Piotr,
stunning image,
you have an amazing amount of patience I think, going back through you portfolio, but that is what makes great images,
you have captured the weather patterns fantastically,
very nicely done,

Hi Piotr,
Beautiful moody photo. It feels like Scotland, eventhough I still have to see it for myself...the country I mean. I love the subtle and greyisch look of the photo. Beautifully composed with great depth and sharpness.

Niek

Really great picture!
I like the use of the filters, as it gives a lot of life to the photo! Good use of light and a very nice exposure makes this a pleasing image to watch! I would perhaps suggest cropping the lower part out to hide the disturbed grass?

There is a real Winter Scotland feel to this picture making me want to get back there as soon as possible. Loch Awe has some wonderful views and even overcaste days have so much to offer which you have shown so well here.
