What a charming butterfly!
The side POV here is really good and it shows us all the beauty of this little guy's wings. The details very very clear and sharp, the exposure is very well managed and the colors and tones everywhere are simply gorgeous! The flash work is great, too!
Also i very much like the DOF, isolating the subject very well from the blurred BG and the lovely composition.
A really good macro work!

The "W" in white is quite prominently etched on its wing, Andy. The specimen is a bit tatty alright but the image is very attractive.

We have this species in Sweden, often seen on various deciduous trees after the honey dew left by aphids.

DOF also produces the necessary out of focus of the bottom that enhances the beauty of the insect and the flower that it supports.

What I like most is the overall color scheme, with blues of the BG highlighting your subject. Sharp, detailed, and exposed well with great DOF Andy..

This one is really nice because of BG. Love the mix of green and blue. The butterfly is very sharp and clear and the picture is nicely framed.
