[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Any picture from my trip to Scotland in the Autumn of last year. Etive moor has this beautiful river and fall with the peak in the background. The weather was turning a little nasty and a small storm was on its way. Here the peak is illuminated by a little sunlight which brings out its colour. A birch tree with the last of its yellow leaves stands at the left of the composition. For the forground I selected a long shutter speed to blur out the water.

I hope you like it.

Hello Paul,
Scotland is one of my favourite places in the world. I've been in the photographed area in July 1994, when Mel Gibson was filming "Braveheart" in Glencoe. Many warm memories...

I like very much this composition with blurred water and awesome autumn colours. This yellow tree is a very good element strenghtening the impact.
Best greetings,
Michal

Hi Paul,
An excellent composition. Nice subtle colors, and the long exposure did a great job with the effect on the water. Very beautifl.

Hi Paul!

Amazing picture - even with grey sky it looks superb. Composition is lovely - lonely peak on BG, lonely tree and blurred water. Also I like colours, first of all red mountain. Great place to visit, I presume :-)

Hi dear Paul ,
woow , excellent work.

very well done.

What an impeccable composition!!!
I really has everything it need...and all of them in the right place! All the key element here are great - the lovely waterfall in theFG, the impressive and well lighted peak in the BG and that charming birch on the left to brig up some color and light to it all.
Splendid in every way!
The exposure is, as usual, spot-on and the decision to go for a longer shutter for the FG effect was great!
BRAVO and TFS

Hello Paul,
Lovely job on this one!
All these blurred streams of water create lines which lead eye into frame perfectly. The BG gives some greens, yellows and reds which put little colour to the photo and balance the greyish colour of the sky and whites of water. The composition is perfectly balanced too.
I like it a lot!

Hi Paul

Happy New Year! Love the slow shutter speed effect. Nice scenery, lovely to view. :-)

Great shot Paul, well composed and exposed.

Chris

Hello Paul,
A wonderful landscape, with a great composition and a well managed long exposure! Autumn's tones are great and I like this picture a lot. Maybe the result would have been still better with the use of a ND grad to obscure the sky more?
Congratulations.
Emmanuel

Excellent!!!

Hi, Paul.
Very nice landscape. And excellent composition. I think you can get even more out from this shot, if you are playing with levels or just taking a little bit down exposure/offset. But it looks great already now.

Hi Paul,
Glad to see you post another of your wondeful photos. I sure hope that I can come close to this when I visit Scotland this summer. Any tips on what I must see?
I just love the details and clarity throughout the scenery. Your composition and the use of the slow shutter speed made this a really beautiful view. Love the combination of warm and cool colors.

Niek

Hi Paul,
An excellent composition. Rich landscape with lots of different thigs, and nice colour palette. I love most the contrast between the static mountain and moving water. The tree in the midle not just balances the composition, but makes a fusion between earth and water.

Beautiful landscape shot. The lighting is extrodinary, the focus is razor sharp, and the freeze of water action is exceptional. A great overall composition with outstanding DOF.

Hello Paul,
What a wonderful very sharp landscape shot - I love all the diagonal lines in this and the colours are fabulous! I find the blurred water part takes up too much of my attention though and I'm not keen on the white frame either - too much white and postcard like!
I've done a workshop and hope you don't mind!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

G'day Paul.
I almost feel like I'm going to get wet just looking at this. I guess that makes it a great photo if it gives that sort of feeling. It's very beautiful.
Regards, Steve.

¡Vaya maravilla Paul!. Es sorprendente este paisaje tan vivo. Nítidos colores y una luz magnífica. Un cordial saludo, JL.

I am a sucker for these milky-effect pictures. When I was in Dartmoor I tried many times to get such great results like this and altough I slightly became better in doing these pictures, I never succeeded like you succeeded with this fine photo. Well composed and perfectly exposed. Well done Paul!

Regards,
Pieter

Nice!! Love the water action you captured! the mountain behind is positioned just right..great photo TFS

I saw this the other day Paul and meant to come back. Lovely POV - I love the way we are looking up to that pinnacle. Perfect exposure.

A wonderful view of this location - it could be a scene out of "Lord of the RIngs". The water looks freezing cold, your time exposure makes it seem to explode on the rocks below, and the barren and strange mountain behind is very unusual.

Hi Paul,

Great work yet again, time and time i look at your photos and it really inspires me to look for such places here in Sweden. Then I realise how beautiful the English/Scotish country side is and each time i miss it more and more. Your photos are truley a great inspiration to see.

Great work Paul, see you around.

Demetrio

Wow, great fall, well done.

Lovely scene you've captured. I most enjoy the exposure that brings out both the colours and the details of the landscape. You've balanced the shutter speed and exposure perfectly.
Well Done!

This is an excellent photo- mainly because the subject is bright and attractive.
Well done
Best regards,
