You really did a good job catching the iridescence and the colors on these feathers. What a great close-up at a perfect moment to catch the beak wide open.

Hi Debz,

This is fantastic! Really good use of you lens' focal range. The bird has a lovely array of shimmering colours in the feathers. You've timed this perfectly showing an enormous squawk or maybe it's a yawn?!

I like so much the expresion got, great timing on it.
The colors and patterns on the feathers are gorgeous.
You got it with so vivid and sharp details.
The tiny tongue is very good.
I like a lot the composition and the way you filled the frame.
Perhaps a little noie reduction on the background would be helpful.

Hello Deborah,
Excellent close-up of a juvenile Starling gaining its adult plumage. Excellent detail and lighting and very little, if any, sharpening is required in this well composed shot.
