[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Thames was running very fast this day. The ducks and coots had to work hard just to stay in place, and double time it to move upstream, against the current. As soon as they stopped paddling they'd go sailing away, downstream, with the current.

I like the colors in this and the fact you can see those orange feet working away under the water.

Hi Michele,
this photo is a very good capture indeed.The colour of this fellow's head is spot-on and the patterns of the plumage are rich in detail.The orange feet are a nice bonus detail as well.Is it a trick of the light,but does Mr.Mallard have a hairline crack in its' bill below the nostril? TFS. Bob
