I was lucky to be in England in the late spring: there were bluebells everywhere!
I have half a dozen good shots of these beauties in two different shades. One is distinctly blue and the other, like this one here verges on the purple.

Captured in RAW, converted to jpg, reduced and sharpened for TN

Thanks for looking and Many thanks to all who sent me their good wishes for a speedy recovery both here on TN and off-list

Hi Silke,
always nice to see a post from my home town from somebody else. And what a great shot too, you were here at the right time to capture the mass emergence of these icons of the UK countryside. Lovely natural colours and very sharp focus. I hope you are feeling much better.

Hi Silke,
Wonderful flowers with such soft colour tones. Very neat and sharp and the green BG as base highlights them and enhances the beauty. The focus and lighting are great and I like your POV to capture these. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.

Belle photo de ces fleurs qui sont bien nette, de jolies couleurs la composent et cela fait qu' elle attire l' oeil. Amitiés Thomas

Hello Silke,

very pleasant, peaceful, emotionally touching to see those fragile bluebells making a rainy day in Spring a good day for the year. Very well composed in a simple and clear way. Thank you!

My best wishes to you for a good recovery from your pains caused by computer keyboard and mouse. Returning right now to long sessions on the computer after a long period of absence I feel that I should make a similar chance in equipment as you did. All the best to you!

Best regards,
Peter

Hi Silke,

A nice close-up photo of the bluebell flowers, it has a good composition, sharpness and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.

Pierre

Awe! The blue's...hopefully they don't last to long Silke. Thing will get better just like these beautiful delicate flowers.

The colours of your flowers are so rich and vivid. The green background is a nice complimnet to the colour of the flowers. RAW is really the way to go...I'm going to try RAW one day.

Keep your chin up Silke
TFS Janice :) :D ...double smiles for you today

Hello Silke,
I remember these beauties from my stays in both England and Wales. You have captured these bluebells as I remember them with a tight cluster of bells at the end of a drooping stem. The lighting and BG are superb: all that is missing is the scent!
I didn't know that you were ill: I hope are on the way to a rapid recovery.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Hi Silke,
Very flower captured with a beautiful and soft light and a very appropriate dof.
TFS, José M.

Hi Silke

I love looking through other people's galleries and seeing what they have posted, often whilst I am away (in this case) or as more recently off ill...

I have a very soft spot for bluebells dating back from my childhood. We also have lots growing on the land I live on, so we can (when we want to) pick them to bring them in. Often it is the rabbits that do the picking though and we just bring in the victims...

You have also photoed the true english bluebell here and not to the spanish one of the hybrid. Don't know if you know that.

TFS and hope the CTS is recovering well...
Emma

I now am standing on the balcony, ready to jump! How can I EVER do this?? Wonderful clarity here..I'm such a hack photographer! The color combo of khaki and soft purple is so nice! Wonderful complimentary color, superb sharpness... **sniff** (((honnnnk))
