Hi Silke,
I like this unusual POV very much and I like it that you dared to be different. Beautiful face and the plummage is marvelous. I love the one blue feather.

hello Silke,
She is a beauty! You had every right to capture her and share the shot!
Lovely details of her feathers. The water ripples give the impression that she is revolving!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Silk
It' doesn't matter if the Mallard is a common bird, it's how you captured this little beauty, and you captured her very well. It's an interesting view to see her from the top. I love the pattern and colours of her feathers. Good detail, lighting and colour.

Hi Silke,
even though Mallards are common, I still marvel at their beautiful colours!
Sharp and detailed.
Even though, as you explained, the POV is shied upon, it shows the beautiful, blue, wing bar of the female Mallard very well.
Well done,
Joe

I find the point of view you adopted for taking this picture rather innovative, Silke.
The mallard looks very attractive from this perspective.
Hope your hands get better soon.
Thanks and take care.

Hello Silke,
I think I like this angle!
Why should all duck images look the same...
Here I really get to enjoy the fine wing feathers, I also see how the bird uses the paddles to navigate!
Greetings,

Hi Silke. Good capture of the duck. As you say it is not always possible to get sown with eyelevel in a case like this. It is still good to see. Just back from China, where they eat all sorts of things including chicken feet so no doubt some trekkers will be looking at that foot licking their lips a little! Yikes. Murray.
