| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
We cancelled a planned trip to Martin Mere after discovering the boring lot from Autumnwatch were there for a week or so and instead went to Marsh Side at Southport. Expecting some Pinkfeet to fly into the far pool in front of the second hide we settled down for a wait. A pair of Magpies landed on the small island in front of the hide and one began bathing, something I had not witnessed before, and I took a few shots of it, one of which is posted here.
Camera settings:- ISO 400, AV, Spot metering, 1120mm focal length, 1.4 x converter, Auto White Balance and exposure, Remote shutter cord. |
