Hello Deborah,
Lot of details in your Robin.
Can be seen all year round; not the case for the English football team nowadays...:-)

Hello Deborah
I have heard about these birds often, and thanks to TN I feel as if I know them now.
My Dad is from Portsmouth and he told me about the British Robin when I was young, and he would recite the poem about "Who killed Cock Robin" to me.The North American Robin is a thrush and much larger. From the photos on TN I can see how these cute little birds can become so endearing.
You have composed the shot well, and the focus and details are sharp.
He is looking at you as if you said "OK ,look at me and give me a serious expression".

Hi Deborah,
This is the second Robin I've critiqued today, but then it is the season of the Robin. This is a fine example, with great detail and nice natural colours. You have picked a great pov and the soft background is very effective.
Kind regards,
Mike

Great details and sharpness in this Robin. The DOF is wonderful with a great Bokeh. That 70-300mm isn't that bad. you work wonders with that lens. The British Robin is much different from the Robins here in the stats. Same colors but different in size and shape.

bonjour deborah
j'aime le fait que l'oiseau regarde vers l'objectif, les couleurs sont parfaitement naturelles,je ne sais pas si vous avez accentué la netteté mais cela me parait un peu de trop.
en revanche le BG est parfaitement flou.

Dear Deborah my English friend,
This frame has a touch of a MASTER photographer.
I love birds, as you already know.
Our Robins, in Canada, are available only in Spring and Summer. They are slightly larger and redder of breast. The males are OUTSTANDING singers.
Friendly greetings, Mario from COLD COLD Calgary. -22*C this AM.

Hi Deborah,
"lookit" at that rascally robin "ain't" it a good looking little birdie! This is a nice capture of your little robin,a robin I must someday see with my own two eyes, maybe in the summer of 2008,time permitting that is.If I do get to England where in the old country would be the best area to photo wildlife? If I do not get to photo wildlife I surely will take photos of that iron bridge in Coalbrookdale as it appeals to me so.About your robin you have very nice detail and colour as well as sharp focus and the only thing I would change is the contrast to bring the little one out more, darken it up just a little. Thanks for this little robin, those birds have a softer look to them than our American Robins. Bob
