This is believe it or not one of the few photos of this kind on the internet, I found the ID by pure luck.

Hi Tanja.
I have never seen these insects. Excellent close-up with plenty details, nice natural colours and soft lifting. My best wishes and TFS.

You are right, there are not too many picture of this species (and really other Dorcadon s.l. species) on the net. In general these beetles are not very common and abundant, often also restricted to rather small area (they do not fly and have reduced wings).
So first of all my best compliments, this is really unique picture, especially that presents so special moment ;)
In the future - with problems with ID, please check Cerambycidae of the West Palaearctic Region web page. I strongly recommend you this site for all European (and not only) longhorned beetles :)
