Hi Gert,

So sorry you are still having problems with your wrists. Doesnt seem to have any adverse effects on your photography. This duck is superb - and he indeed is laughing. Amazing details of the face and plummage. Every feather is clear and distinct. Wonderful colors and shadings. A delightful shot.

This is incredible! I love his soft brown eyes, but you know, I wonder if he'll let us in on the joke. I love the sparkle in his eye and have to agree that he must be laughing. It's enough to bring a smile to my face! Great sharpness, DOF, and especially, POV!

Pin-sharp capture with your new lens!
I've used the 50-500mm and found that it really needed stabilisation and it seems Sigma have agreed :-)
Very detailed and extremely clear.
Great pose and a decent close-in crop.
Nice light and colours.
Perfect DOF.

Hi Gert

I had a bit of an ordeal at the dentist today so forgive me if I might be a bit abrupt.

At least this duck seems to feel better than I do. I have a mouth full of stitches and much less teeth than I had yesterday morning. The bad news is that even the tooth fairy doesn't seem to want my ancient dentures. Lucky though, I don't need those to type with like you need healthy wrists so I am still in the fortunate position to have much less to complain about. I hope you are doing ok under the circumstances and holding on (even with the pain).

A great capture with the new lens. Very sharp and splendid in all aspects. A lovely portrait of the duck.

What a fine capture this..the lens could be one of the best ones but then it also needs a hand that can give it life and purpose and here you are with this wonderful portrait of the laughing duck.It indeed look like having a hearty laugh.I only need to hear the "Qwack " now ...:)
The details are splendid and you have made excellent use of the natural light.Superb sharpness, excellent focus in this well saturated shot.

The lighting is near perfection with spot on exposure.
